On Saturday, a talented group of Liverpool players made history as they represented Liverpool FC IA Texas when they competed at the National Elite Clubs National League event held in Houston this past weekend.  This exception group of young players from three different Liverpool teams came together for training and scrimmages for the two weeks prior and then travelled to Houston proudly representing LFC IA Texas in our first invitation into a Girls ECNL event.

The team was coached by our new Elite Leagues Manager, Eric Dade, and Coach Adam Flynn.  The team competed with commitment and determination in each game finishing the weekend with a record of two draws and one loss, scoring two goals against two of the strongest teams in the competition. In the first game against Jacksonville’s Armada FC Liverpool played aggressively tying the game with a goal in the final minutes of the game.  The second game played against Sereno Soccer Club was a hard fought battle ending in a 0-2 loss.  The final game also ended in an extremely close competitive match ending in a 1-1 draw against Connecticut FC.

Elite Leagues Manager Eric Dade summarized the weekend by stating, “Our girls did a fantastic job this past weekend at the national ECNL Texas event.  They demonstrated the ability to compete and the desire to achieve at an elite level."  LFC IA Texas 04 Girls were well represented and demonstrated they belonged.
