Liverpool FC America has experienced unprecedented growth and success in a very short period of time. Our recent tryouts saw a historic number of teams graduate from our academy into the club, as well as new teams joining the club. Beginning in 2006 with just 3 teams, this year will see the club grow to over 140 teams. Liverpool FC America will now be one of the largest clubs in Texas. Alongside this growth has also come a mirror increase in the quality of the organization with over 75 percent of the boys and girls teams playing in either Lake Highlands or Boys Classic League. Most clubs can claim either size or quality but at LFCA we are able to claim both, all the while doing it with character.

To continue to grow in the right way and more importantly position our club to provide the best value and player experience for the future; Liverpool FC America will be restructuring the club to take advantage of our size and geographic reach. With the size of the area we cover, trying to manage it with a central structure poised several challenges that we feel will be addressed in our new structure. To accomplish what we feel we need to do, a more regionalized approach (a closer to the customer approach) to operating our club will be applied and that is what we plan to do.

Beginning in July 2013, LFCA will become four regions drawn along lines that will allow us to take maximum advantage of the market and provide the best experience for our players and families. The regions will be as follows:

Our East region will include the area from the Tollway heading out east following 635 out to route 20 then east.

Our Central region will be the area spanning from the Tollway into Dallas and west to Grapevine

Our West region is the area from Grapevine heading west and south to Duncanville

Our South region is the I 35 corridor from Waco south to Austin

Each of the regions will be under the direction of a Regional Director of Coaching (RDOC)

The following individuals will assume that responsibility:

The East will be under the leadership of Tim Trevino

The Central region will be under the leadership of Lee Weddall

The West will be under the leadership of Craig Jones

The South will be under the leadership of Tom Blencoe

In addition, reporting to the RDOC will be an Academy Director (AD) for each region;

The following individuals will assume that responsibility:

The East AD will be Jimmy Fagen

The Central AD will be Matt Veasey

The West AD will be Collin Yocom

The South AD will be Chris Johnson (CJ)

In addition several of these folks will have additional responsibility and also work on other areas to help grow our club; a few of these examples are as follows with more to come:

Lee Weddall will continue as RASE Director and continue to build a world class elite academy program.

Tim Trevino will be focused on helping our club with marketing, sponsorship sales, building our Warriors brand and tournament support.

Matt Veasey, will continue to support and build our successful Anfield Express program and liaison with me on advanced leagues and business development.

As well as the regional positions, additional positions in the club will include:

Nancy Lane continues as Director of Communication and Administration with responsibility for our college program, tournaments, dues/collection, website, social media and manager liaison to name a few of the areas. (Nancy is assisted by several folks including Treasurer/Registrar, Kathy McGuffin, Deputy Administrator Melissa Simpson and Webmaster, Frank Will to name a few of the folks)

Jimmy Melia will assume the responsibility of Director of The Liverpool Way, Team and International Development. This new and exciting role will allow our club to take advantage of all that comes through our relationship with Liverpool FC and who better to help us then our own son of Liverpool.

Armando Pelaez will be joining us as Technical Director to insure excellence and quality in our play, player development and team management. In addition Armando will continue as the Head Coach and manager of the Warriors program, assisted on the Warriors by Tahlon Drake.

Keri Baker as our Director of Player Programs who will oversee our player programs and insure that players within our club have the opportunity to get the best training and best experience to aid them as they develop as a player.

We will be adding the position of Deputy Director of Player Programs, working with Keri Baker, and that position will be filled by Colin Rocke.

Blas Guerra (BJ) who will be in charge of coaching education and development and insuring our coaches are the best prepared and getting the quality training and advancement they deserve.

There are several other folks, too numerous to mention, that work nonstop both in front and behind the scenes to make our club a success. Without each of them and their tireless efforts we could not and would not be the club we are becoming.

As you can hopefully see and tell there is an extremely strong and rich in experience group of professionals that will be leading our club forward. I am very excited about the future and believe that this upcoming soccer year will be our best ever. With our strong growth and continuous turn towards quality all couched under our growing relationship with Liverpool FC and always done in a spirit of character and class, our future looks great. This dedicated group will be our leaders and with them an outstanding group of coaches, managers and families are truly what makes Liverpool FC America the great club it is.

Our goal is the simplest of ones that is paraphrased from the great Bill Shankly; we wish and hope that all our players, families and coaches can hold their heads high and say proudly “We are Liverpool”.

Thank you and if you have any question please do not hesitate to ask.

All the best for a wonderful soccer year,

Peter Brody
