Liverpool '98 Girls Elite team Named to the National Premier League
Liverpool FC America’s 98 Girls Elite team coached by Director of Coaching Chris Pulpaneck was named to the US Youth Soccer National League this year.
In August, US Youth Soccer proudly announced the 128 teams chosen to compete in the 2012-2013 US Youth Soccer National League season. The league, entering into its sixth season, is for the top Under-15 through Under-18 Boys and Girls club soccer teams with each team having an individual proven track record of continued success in US Youth Soccer programs.
It is an honor and privilege to represent the Liverpool FC America club at this elite level, and Liverpool’s 98 Girls Elite team with coach Chris Pulpaneck will represent us with character, quality and tradition with each step they take on the field this year. Whether at a National Collegiate Showcase tournament such as Disney, in league play at the top of Division I Lake Highlands Girls Classic League or at one of the National team events, this is an explosive team with striking power from anywhere on the field. With U-16 National Team player Danielle Greenlee in the goal, the 98 Girls Elite team is expected to have a very competitive year against some of the most talented teams in the nation.
Also, beginning in 2012-2013, the National League was awarded two additional entries per age group to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, giving the league a total of four slots per gender age group. Also beginning this season, the Under-18 Boys and Girls will qualify for the National Championships with four slots available. The four National League representatives will join the four Regional Champions for a total of eight qualifiers per age group at the National Championships.
