Tomorrow night in Phoenix, AZ the Boys ECNL will host the inaugural The Continental Tire ECNL National Selection game of the 2022-23 season. We are proud to announce that BVB IA Texas coach Dru Wright will be coaching in this prestigious game as one of the coaches for the West team. Coach Dru Wright is a USSF “A” licensed coach and has been coaching in our Boys ECNL program since the league started.  Dru Wright also acts as the liaison for the Borussia Dortmund Youth Academy and all of the Borussia Dortmund affiliates in North America. Dru brings his tremendous experience and enthusiasm with him as he approaches this level of competition. 

The Continental Tire ECNL National Selection Games are “all-star” matches that bring top players at each regular season ECNL National Event together for representative competition on the first day of the event. They are one component of the ECNL National Selection Program, which encompasses all player identification and development programs within the league. 

Coach Dru Wright remarked, “I’m very honored to have the opportunity to coach in the National Selection Game in Phoenix and to represent BVB International Academy-Texas. It’s an amazing event/platform for these hard working players to showcase their talents in front of a massive crowd of their teammates, parents, and college coaches. I’m also delighted to have the chance to coach our very own BVBIA NT player DJ Koulai who was selected to play in the NSG game for the West team.    I’m looking forward to this level of competition and hope to learn and grow from the other coaching staff I have the opportunity to work with. The game will take place on November 18 at 6:15pm on Field 1. The game will feature players from the U17/U18-19 age groups and can be live streamed here. https://team1sports.com/ecnl/
