BVB IA Texas Promotes Salim Sedeh, Keri Heedum and Ricky Blanchard to Leadership Positions

BVB International Academy North Texas has promoted three outstanding individuals to take leadership positions within the club.


Salim Sedeh - BVB IA Texas Girls ECRL-NTX Program Director

Salim Sedeh will take the lead as the BVB Girls ECRL-NTX program.  Under the direction of Girls Academy Director Audrey Gutierrez, Salim will oversee the ECRL-NTX program effective immediately.

Salim Sedeh is a highly qualified coach and well respected in the North Texas soccer community.  Salim successfully guided SPTX over 12 years as the Director of Coaching and saw many talented players achieve regional and national recognition through his program.

Sedeh is a FIFA/CBF Coaching License and USS Coaching License holder who has dedicated over 30 years of his life to soccer. He is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil where he was a former professional soccer player, playing for Guarani, Sao Paulo FC, Palmeiras and Bragantino.

Sedeh also completed internships with well-known and well-respected professionals in Brazil such as Roberto Rivellino (World Cup Champion ‘70)  and Luis Felipe Scolari (World Cup Champion ’02.) 

He also attended Football Management courses in London. In addition to coaching, he has worked as a FIFA agent trading professional Brazilian players around the world. 


Keri Heedum - Academy Director

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Keri dedicated her life to soccer at an early age. She played her entire club career for Internationals Soccer Club (ECNL) in Cleveland, Ohio.

Keri excelled at the highest level of collegiate athletics as the captain of the Division I, Xavier University Women’s Soccer Team, leading them to their first-ever Atlantic 10 Conference Championship.

Later, returning as a four-year assistant women’s soccer coach at her Alma Mater, Keri honed her coaching skills under the mentorship of Dr. Ronald Quinn, Professor of Sports Ethics and a leading authority in U.S. Youth Soccer.

Prior to relocating to Dallas to serve in her current capacity as Academy Director for BVB IA Texas, Keri served three years as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Varsity Soccer Coach at Cincinnati’s premier all-girls academy, Mount Notre Dame High School. In addition to her coaching and administrative credentials, Keri also incorporates her decade of experience as an educator in the classroom into her comprehensive approach to the development of young athletes. Keri has been recognized at the national level on several occasions for her coaching and leadership achievements.

Ricky Blanchard - Academy Technical Development Director

BVB IA Texas is proud to announce that effective immediately Ricky Blanchard will assume the important position of Academy Technical Development Director.  As the ATDD, Ricky will support and oversee the technical development of our Black and Yellow Academy players ages 6-10.   Working to support Academy Director Keri Heedum, Ricky will be responsible for laying the fundamental guidelines and assessment for academy player development.   Identifying and developing strong technical foundation as well as technique will ensure our BVB players have the skills and understanding to impact the game and their team’s success.

Ricky Blanchard is a former member of the St. Lucia National team and played professionally in Portugal as well as in the USISL league.  Ricky is currently part of the ECNL-RL staff at BVB and brings more than 20 years of coaching and playing experience to the club.  Ricky currently holds a USSF ‘B’ License.

Congratulations to all three of these individuals!  We are confident all three of these amazing coaches will have a positive impact on the overall organization and most importantly our BVB IA Texas players!
