BVB International Academy Texas is delighted to welcome FC Waco to the Black and Yellow BVB family.  FC Waco began in 2018 with like-minded coaches from different backgrounds determined to give back to the Waco community as well as a higher level of soccer for the many talented players in the region.  Their clear dedication to the Waco community and player-centered culture will be enhanced by the structure, player pathway and intense focus on quality provided by the BVB International Academy.

Under the leadership of a talented, passionate staff, FC Waco recognized Central Texas has been an undervalued area for soccer talent.  For the player this change offers more opportunities to recognize and develop that talent to its fullest potential.  FC Waco, in its short existence, is proud to have offered the community more camps and clinics, local tournaments, and family events than ever before.

“Being ‘Waco Proud’ and offering the most opportunities has always been the guiding principles of FC Waco Youth.  When we met with Peter, Nancy, and Colin of BVB, they understood our values and made sure they aligned with the BVB principles.  I love that BVB is not just a badge on a sleeve.  It’s important for our players, coaches, and parents to feel valued.  We are bringing a global brand to Waco and offering the most comprehensive player pathway that’s ever been offered in Waco and Central Texas.  It’s an exciting time for Waco soccer!” – Sam Odajima, President FC Waco.

Peter Brody shared, “Our goal is to create pathway opportunities for our players that helps each of them fulfill their dreams.  Through our cornerstone College Athlete Placement (CAP) Program, the national School of Excellence, our BVB International Academy ID Clinic, our elite platforms for both boys and girls, we want to ensure we have given everything we can to develop the whole player and invested in their future.  This can only happen when the right people are a part of that, leaders like Sam, Fermin, Steve and Arturo.  We could not be happier to welcome these amazing coaches and leaders.”

The transition will take affect over the next few weeks, with a “Coaches Welcome” meeting offered to our new coaches and a public/ open zoom meeting for players and families of FC Waco.  Players who want to be a part of this amazing opportunity to further their development and potentially become a part of the BVB International Academy America, are welcome to join.  Meeting specifics will be published on both websites and social media on Monday: www.fcwaco.com and  www.bvbinternationalacademy-ntx.com
