Liverpool’s College Athlete Placement (CAP) Program sends a proud special invitation to all of our teams ages 7th grade through seniors to join us for a very important “College Night” on October 25th at DeLay Middle School in Lewisville beginning at 7:00pm.   Learn about the advantages of the Liverpool College Program and understand why the Liverpool program is so complete, so accurate, so dedicated to success that we can truly challenge our players to “make us dream!” The player’s own dreams and goals drive this program and drive each of us to be better than we have to be   Liverpool’s approach is firmly grounded in four strategies and a positive networking alliance among our coaches and hundreds of college coaches around the nation. The four strategies are:
1)      Understand the Process- Liverpool’s College Workshops and the Player/ Team Marketing Education our coaches receive is one of the most important foundations we can give our athletes.    Both parents and players attend the workshop together and learn about how the process works, what their responsibilities are, what the NCAA rules and guidelines are and how to master the process to their benefit.

2)     Marketing Materials- the online “Player Profile” which is located on the team page online at www.liverpoolfcamerica.com  is created by our College Program Staff and is a professional player resume/ portrait of the high school player. Last year alone, these player profiles had more than 1200 “hits” from college coaches seeking more information about players as well as contact information. The “Team Brochure” is another product developed for our Liverpool teams and has been used successfully at local, regional and national level tournaments helping to market every player on the team.

3)     College Clinics- In 2011, Liverpool’s CAP program held our first College Prep College Clinic with more than 27 college coaches participating. With more than 130 athletes on hand from 9 different clubs, the program created a two day clinic where coaches from the Division I, National Champion Notre Dame Coach Randy Waldrum, to Division II national champion coach Marcus Wood from Hardin-Simmons and UTSA’s head coach Steve Ballard coached these high school age athletes side by side to offer each of them the opportunity to see a college level training session and to talk and interact with the coaches. It was a wonderful opportunity for our athletes and our club coaches to meet and learn from different coaches from all over the nation.

4)     Online Programs and Services- Give yourself the best marketing advantages with the tools and programs Liverpool have to offer. The first added advantage is our online marketing strategies with “Soccer Recruit Tools.”  This is a wonderful clearinghouse of information and technology allowing players to upload and send college resume’s, video, pictures, and profiles to the colleges of their choice. The second service offered is an outstanding complete online program called “Sports Source.” The Sports Source online is a portal to the vast information inside both the academic as well as athletic programs of more than 7,000 colleges and universities across America. This is the most comprehensive look into the different requirements and statistics of our American college and university system ever put together. Used as a reference, guide and roadmap, the Sports Source can help you locate, choose and understand what is required to attend any school in the U.S. today.
These four strategies thoroughly support any athlete who wants to obtain a college education and the opportunity to play college soccer. Coaches, program coordinators and staff all work together to support the athlete by making phone calls, writing letters, networking throughout the club and more. Creating opportunities is our primary goal. We believe there is a college for every player, and whether you attend and play soccer or just attend and get a great education, we are dedicated to the dreams of all Liverpool players.
